Saving just one animal won’t change the world,
but surely the world will change for that one animal…

365 Pet Connection Pet Food Pantry Update
We are pleased to announce that we have had a wonderful outpouring of support and food donations for our pet food pantry. Thank you to our generous community of animal lovers.
365 Pet Connection works in conjunction with the Cottonwood Shores Cupboard which distributes food donations on the second Wednesday of every month at the Cottonwood Shores Civic center from 4 to 6 p.m. This past Wednesday was our third distribution, and we completely cleared our shelves. We are learning as we go and finding out that there truly is a need. Approximately fifty families were served last week and of those fifty, only five did not have any pets. Many of the recipients were quite surprised that we were able to offer free pet food and they were incredibly grateful. The extra food was quite timely with the cold snap. For animals, “eat makes heat” and we all could use some of that right now.
Looking forward to the next distribution day, February 14, we will again be asking for food donations to restock our shelves. Our pet food of choice is Purina One Dog Chow and Purina Cat Chow, however, anything you would like to donate is much appreciated. If you are an Amazon shopper, you might find it easier to order online any of the food found on our wish List.
We gladly accept opened bags of food that your picky eaters won’t touch or from pets that have recently passed away. Long-time Horseshoe Bay resident, Brenda Gray, recently donated unused food when her beloved dog passed away. When dropping off her donation she told us, “ I sure do miss my dog but I can certainly pick up an extra bag of food when I am at the store to help feed others.”
We have additional drop-off locations that are accepting donations. Our friends at ValueBank in Horseshoe Bay have generously offered to accept donations of dog and cat food as well as monetary donations at their location 9714 FM 2147 Suite 102. Donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Horseshoe Bay Chiropractic, located at 7407 FM 2147, is also accepting food donations. Cottonwood Shores Police Department accepts donations and you can throw in some people food donations at that location as well. Monetary donations can be made through PayPal by going to our website at www.365petconnection.com or we will gladly accept checks mailed to 365 Pet Connection, 124 Hills Court, Horseshoe Bay, TX 78657.
No animal should go hungry. Please help us keep these pets in their homes and out of the shelters by filling our pantry with dog and cat food. For more information, please contact us at 365petconnection@gmail.com

Our Mission
To save the lives of adoptable animals that are at risk of being surrendered to shelters, living in overcrowded open admission shelters or who are in otherwise life-threatening situations by specifically forming connections and working with other non-profit animal welfare groups We accomplish this through partnering with other rescues, through transport, fostering, adoption, re-homing and social media postings. Our Vision With Texas seeing record-breaking numbers on shelter surrenders and dumped pets, we are refocusing our efforts to try to keep animals out of shelters and in their own homes and to get animals already in shelters OUT. We are working on both fronts by starting a pet food pantry and by transporting cross-country to other rescue groups. |
We have closed out our 2022 statistics and since inception in September of 2013 we have saved 2368 lives through transport, foster, adoption, and re-homing.
You can ALWAYS find our latest adoptable animal postings on www.petfinder.com under ZIP code 78734.
